2019 City Council Primary Endorsements

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — MeckPAC, the Mecklenburg LGBTQ Political Action Committee, has released its slate of endorsements for the 2019 primary elections for Charlotte City Council and Charlotte Mayor. Early voting runs Aug. 21 through Sept. 6, 2019. The primary election will be held on Sept. 10, 2019.

MeckPAC’s endorsed candidates have shown themselves to be leaders and allies in the movement for LGBTQ equality and share MeckPAC’s vision for future momentum on LGBTQ inclusion in the City of Charlotte. They each also know and understand that the LGBTQ community has an important stake in our local communities’ critical conversations on affordable housing, economic opportunity, and criminal justice reform, which will move our area forward as a more equitable, more accessible and more welcoming place for all people, regardless of race, income, sexual orientation or gender identity.
